The house we live in—the window we look out
The transformation of society into a high profiled meritocracy has ushered in a paradigm for everyday life that slowly disconnects us from our personal ideals and concepts for finding peace and happiness…
It never occurred to Jules Verne to enlarge the world according to the romantic escape routes or the mystical blueprints of infinity: he constantly seeks to contract it, to reduce it to a known and enclosed space which mankind can then comfortably inhabit: the world can derive everything from itself; it needs, in order to exist, no one but mankind.

II. The Radical Guru
The era of Radical Architecture—a «counter-school» of architecture, or «non-architecture» developed between 1964 and 1974 in Italy. Ettore Sottsass defined this era as a period of emptiness and introvert meditation. A time of purification and release from everything that constituted the laws, customs and vocabulary of rationalist culture. Sottsass was the first to understand and publicly express the possibilities within the representational system of POP.

In all my work I have sought to give my objects some ritual weight. That is why I have given the objects feet more weight than necessary. My objects have a base to place them in their own specific space, a space they would not have if they were simply sitting on the ground. But I didn't invent the base, just look at the Greek and Roman sculpture.

III. Algebraic comparison
Man can never expect to start from scratch; he must start from ready-made things, like even his own mother and father.
